Welcome to Camp!

Welcome to camp everyone! Today our journey began with learning about the bee, the different types of bees in a hive and the various jobs that they perform. We also had a chance to look at the bees in the observational hive and view their habitat up close. Afterwards we built and painted the base coat onto some hives. I realized that not only do we have future beekeepers at our camp, we also have prolific artists! Later on the boys suited up and went outside to view the bees in their habitat up close while the girls began making candles with local beeswax. Later the girls joined the rest of the gang at the hive site. After a quick recap it was already time to go home.

Looking forward to another exciting day tomorrow!

Thanks to Mr.Furbert and the parks staff for their support and help today!
